Common questions
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data within 30 days. If you can't access the app, email us and we'll handle it manually.
I can't log in
Use Forgot password on the login screen to receive a reset link. Check your spam folder if the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes. If you still can't access your account, email us.
A recipe imported incorrectly
Recipe import is automated — some websites use formats our parser doesn't handle perfectly. After importing, tap Edit on the recipe to fix up any details. If a particular website consistently fails, let us know the URL and we'll improve the importer.
The app is suggesting meals with ingredients my family can't eat
Check your dietary requirements in Settings → Household → Dietary needs. Dietary constraints are hard filters — no suggestions should include flagged ingredients. If you're seeing violations, please report them as a bug with the specific recipe name.
How do I report a bug?
Email support@my-village.app with:
- What you were doing when the issue occurred
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- Your iOS version and iPhone model (Settings → General → About)

Can I suggest a feature?
Yes — email us or, if you prefer, open an issue on our GitHub repository. We track all suggestions and prioritise based on how many families would benefit.
Is Village available on Android?
Village is iOS-only in V1. Android is on the roadmap — sign up on the homepage to hear when it's available.
Where is my data stored?
Account and household data is stored in Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2). Images are served via Cloudflare's global CDN. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
