Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using Village, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
Who can use Village
Village is intended for adults aged 18 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Village is a personal, household tool. You may not use it for commercial purposes — for example, operating a meal planning or catering service for clients.
Not professional advice
Village provides organisational support — meal planning, scheduling, and parenting strategy suggestions. It does not provide:
- Medical or dietary advice
- Therapeutic recommendations
- Clinical guidance for neurodevelopmental conditions
- Allergy management or clinical nutrition services
Dietary allergy information you enter is used only to filter suggested content. It is your responsibility to verify that any recipe or meal suggestion is safe for your household. Always consult a qualified health professional for medical or dietary decisions.
Parenting strategy content is drawn from publicly available research and practitioner-developed frameworks. Village is not a substitute for professional support from an occupational therapist, psychologist, or other qualified practitioner.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must notify us immediately at support@my-village.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties.
Your content
Recipes, notes, and other content you create in Village belong to you. By saving content to Village, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it within the app for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You must not upload content that:
- Infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Is defamatory, abusive, or unlawful
- Contains malware or harmful code
When you import a recipe from a URL, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the source website's terms.
AI-generated content
Village uses AI to suggest recipes and parenting strategies. AI-generated content is reviewed for safety but may contain errors. You should apply your own judgement before following any suggestion — especially where food allergies, health conditions, or children's wellbeing are concerned.
Subscriptions and billing
Village may offer paid subscription tiers. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. You will be notified before any price change affects your subscription.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Attempt to access parts of the service you're not authorised to use
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the app or its API
- Interfere with the service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to extract data at scale
Service availability
We aim to keep Village available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or temporarily suspend the service for operational reasons. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Village is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time in the app's Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Village after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
